On April 11th, 2017 Manus OnLine appears in a new version.
The site shows a new, friendly graphic design; all images characterizing the menu pages have been granted by libraries taking part in the project, and the site pages offer an easier and intuitive access to the various features.
The results achieved don't only come from the undertaking and ideas of the librarians and experts working in ICCU, but also from needs and suggestions expressed by librarians, cataloguers and manuscript scholars during the two seminars: “One day to let Manus OnLine grow”, organized by ICCU in 2015 and 2016.
The web site has been enriched with new features for users, such as the Lists, dedicated search forms for Special Projects, a new viewer for images visualization, new query procedures; also the cataloguers' backoffice offers new features, such as a virtual keyboard to insert special characters, in particular those of the Greek alphabet, including accents and breathings.
Furthermore, from now on there shall be the possibility for a single library or institution to get the export of a specific selection of descriptions, both in Word and in XML, whereas up to now it was only possible for that institution to export the whole of the manuscript descriptions.
